There is no separate forum for XSprite so I ask my question here:

Is it possible to add/create my own animations for the nice Android XSprite app ?

Hello JuzerNeem. Yes of course you can! To create a sprite "widget" for XSprite you need only 3 files (2 .png images and 1 .ini)into a folder.
1. Default (preview image)
2. right (single png serial image)
3. ini file that includes the follow values:
FrameCount=22
interval=50
zoom=0.8

FrameCount is the number on the images of the "single png serial image"
Interval is the speed of the animation (bigger value -> lower speed)
Zoom is how appears the widget on phone's screen (size)

I attach a demo "widget" to see it from the inside. Keep in mind though that you need XWidget app to install/move the "XSprite widgets" to your phone since the sprites are created as "widgets"
Then you only need to move the sprite's folder to XSprite->Widgets folder

You can have a simple/single png image as "sprite" but no the swim behaviour cannot be disabled. At least for now.
I will talk about it to the Dev to add it maybe in the next version.
Thanks

EDIT: And don't forget that you can share your sprites and they will added to the official gallery :)

Hi Jimking, could you please let me know the software and method you used to create the animated png file for the example "happydog" above?
Thanks,
