xwidget: 1.9.1.402 portable (also on old versions)
win: XP SP3
==============

in the options window of xwidget, if you click on any dropdown menus in the window (ex: Dashboard Animation, Choose Language,...), the dropdown menu apears behind options window and couldn't be accessed.
also buttons on dropdown menu couldn't be accessed (when clicked opens dropdown menu behind window)

i'm not sure when it starts happening, but i think it's not happening before,
or i don't know why i didn't noticed it until now.
does anyone having same problem?

=========
just as a temporary solution:
> you can up&down in menuitem by keyboard arrow keys
> and choose options in menuitem by pressing enter key
=========

edit:
although it appears behind the window but it can be clicked by mouse (means it appears behind the window visually but it functions as it is in front)

I think this happens only when select the Window->Position-> Keep Topmost.
If you're talking about this "bug" is old and I've noticed this in all the prev versions..

no, i don't talking about that bug.
i know that bug exist and know how to prevent it.

but this is another one,
i'm talking about xwidget program, not widgets
when you go: RightClick xwidget icon > selecting Options... > in the Options Window
when i click on any dropdown menus it shows it behind the window (but it functions as it is in front as it should be)

i'm using the same version and also tested with previous version.

i found that this is happening because when i click on dropdown menu the options window will be deactivated (the program button on taskbar shows that it lose focus from the window), seems that it treat dropdown menus as another window.

maybe this only happens on XP
or it's related to some program that i installed on my system

Yes maybe. I use Win7 Ultimate x32 so I can't test it on XP..

It is an illusion of transparency effects added to the drop down menu. Since the drop-down menu is semi-transparent, it looks like it is behind the option window but actually it isn't.

I was testing with Microsoft Spy++ and found this:
The popup menu has it's own HWND and inherits from desktop rather than being a child of the options window. It thus behaves like a separate entity and you lose focus. Also happens on all versions of Windows.

after a power failure and making other problem to my xwidget that i mentioned here:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4593

now the dropdown menu viewing correctly
but it still lose focus from window, so losing focus doesn't related to the problem
so i don't find out what was causing the problem before
