I really like this program, but there's one thing I can't figure out and is really bugging me.
The 64-bit version of Windows 7 has a "Program Files" directory (for 64-bit programs) and a "Program Files (x86)" directory (for 32-bit programs). The problem is that if I create a link to anything in the "Program Files" directory and drag it into XLaunchPad, the link will be broken.
Here's something interesting...If I create a link to "Program Files" and a link to "Program Files (x86)", then drag them into XLaunchPad, both links in the XLaunchPad application will actually link to "Program Files (x86)", but the .lnk targets show correctly in the My Documents\XLaunchPad\Shortcuts\Links directory.
Here's what I guess is happening...I am guessing that when XLaunchPad reads the .lnk files from the My Documents\XLaunchPad\Shortcuts\Links directory, it shortens them to something like
C:\PROGRA~1\WHATEV~1, so the paths to "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" would conflict.
As I said before, I really like this program...good job. I look forward to this bug being fixed!
